I find the instructions rather complicated and so very user friendly.
The camera very quickly would get into a sleep mode while it is still on. I have to press any button to have it awake again. This is rather inconvenient when I have a precious to capture.
The camera is worth the cost for the qualities of the images and the videos I am getting.

Bought this camera just before a trip to Australia because my Kodak was eating up batteries too quickly. This camera was a big disappointment. Display screen impossible to see in normal outside light. Optical view finder, while saving battery life, did not help making sure a photo was right before clicking the shutter. A high percentage of photos were out of focus. Very hard to depress shutter half way to wait for auto focus to work. Shutter very slow, 3 or 4 seconds to process photo. Instructions state that another picture can be taken while photo is developing, but doing that usually results in an out of focus picture. No use at all to take quick candid photos. Those "Kodak Moments" will be lost. After a while, I switched to my Droid if a picture was really important to me even though the camera function of the Droid is difficult to use. This was my first (and last) Canon. I have been using digital cameras for over ten years and have taken over 100,000 shots. The only good consistant feature of this camera is the video recording.
Comments about Canon PowerShot A1200 Digital Camera, Silver:
I bought this for my daughter as a gift. She said it took good outdoor pics, but the quality of indoor pics wasn't that good. I my have got a defective one I'm not sure, but I returned it to the store.

Q:
I loved my old canon power shot, the zoom lenz, the great photos. (it's since been lost or stolen). One problem. If I wanted to take pictures super fast---one right after the other, the camera couldn't do that. I would click the camera for the first shot, then, for a second shot, I had to wait probably at least 8 seconds before I could get another one. I have a dog business and quick shots are VERY important with any dogs and especially puppies. How is this camera for that purpose and/or could anyone recommend any others besides this one, or instaed of this one? Brand isn't too important to me.
SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Card, MultiMediaCard, MMC Plus Card, HC MMC Plus Card, can all be used with this camera, although there is no limit to capacity of card.

Q:
Is the charger that is included a charger for the camera itself, or the batteries? Thank you.
A charger is not included with this camera. It is powered by 2 “AA” batteries. The cable included is USB cable so that you can download pictures from the camera to a computer.

Q:
does this camera show date and time on picture after it has been printed?
Per Canon: you can go to "Menu" and then choose date time stamp and that information will appear on the printed photos. Complete information is in the owner's manual.

Q:
Are you able to have the time and date stamp on your photos?
I have researched your inquiry, and found that Canon does not make this camera in pink or blue. We do have similar cameras available in both colors. The item number for pink is 320979, and the item number for blue is 320980. If you would like assistance with placing an order, please contact us at 800-333-3330.
