Portrait Image Optimize automatically delivers face detection, backlight correction and noise reduction to your images while Red-eye Correction automatically reduces red-eye in flash photos for superb prints. I don't think I could recommend the Canon SELPHY any higher! This machine is superior to every photo printer I have used. I also own an Epson Artisan 800. I love my 800 and use it frequently but the SELPHY beats it hands down for quality and ease of use.
Naturally since the SELPHY only prints on the 4 X 6 paper it isn't going to print large 8 X 10 photos, but that hasn't slowed me down on my every day prints!
I print photos for my scrapbooking and card making. I print photos for my grandchildren just because they "need' a photo of themselves with their Greatgrandmother.
Other than ease of use and print quality probably one of my favorite uses for the SELPHY is the fact that I can take it on vacations or use it at home. We have taken it on vacations with us and mailed postcards (yes, SELPHY can print postcards with the right paper!) and pictures in our motel room at night! We have set up my SELPHY right in the Living Room during family gatherings and holidays to print photos right then so every one can take their favorites home with them!
I would recommend this printer to just about anyone looking for a reliable and high quality photo printer!

first used this printer (800 model) at work then decided to purchase for family members personal use 900 has more features and just as easy to use first time use had no problem with set up paper loading or ink installation and also used a $30.00 off coupon which made the deal even sweeter

  It depends which kit you use. Approximately 108 4"x6" pictures may be printed from a KP-108IN Kit. A KP-36IP kit will print 36 4"x6" postcards.
