Bringing a new level of versatility and capability to flash photography, the Speedlite 430EX II features a powerful flash (guide number of 141 ft./43m at ISO 100) with a fast recycling time in a compact, durable body.

A one-touch quick-lock mechanism makes it easy to attach or detach the 430EX II from the camera and a metal foot has been added for strength and durability. Flash controls can now be set through the camera's LCD screen on compatible EOS Digital SLR cameras. The Speedlite 430EX II is also quieter, recycle time is 20% faster (as compared to the 430EX) and since it is compatible with Canon's wireless E-TTL, it can be used as an affordable "slave unit".

  • The flash head can be moved up from 0 - 90° (5 settings), left from 0 - 180° (7 settings) and right from 0- 90° (4 settings)
  • Zoom flash head covers range of 24-105mm; maximum guide number 141 ft./43m at ISO 100

      I bought this after going through lots of research compairing canon and off-market product. off-market products are cheaper but inconsistent and I wanted a reliability and peace of mind ! 430 EX is really good and it fullfills my purpose.

        This flash is very powerful and user friendly. I wanted to have somebody take our wedding pictures with the T1i that I own to save money. The church is very dark with a window behind the alter. This flash is powerful enough to light up the specimen from 15 or 20 feet away and overpower the back light. I'm happy, and it was worth every penny.
