I have purchased other trimmers. I was not planning on using it everyday so based my purchasing decision on price.... In the end I lost my entire investment. Since I pick up this trimmer I have found myself using it on projects I usually would send out. I was most recently impressed when using the scoring blade on some card stock and the result was better quality than our local print shop that did a resonable job scoring the fold lines on my business cards.
Worth every penny, I would have paid double!!!

Having just purchased this paper trimmer, I can't give as thorough a review as I might like. That said, so far, for my everyday home office use, it's been wonderful. I've owned a number of paper trimmers, standard trimmers costing around $100 and trimmers costing much more, and within several hours or several days, I have sorely disappointed (they haven't cut cleanly or straightly; they've been unstable or cheaply made; and so on).
I've used this trimmer every day for several weeks now, and it has been consistently excellent, with all sorts of papers.
As I've indicated, I haven't been disappointed with it in any way.

For our small home-based business, we cut all kinds of paper, including cardstock. This trimmer really does the job well. We had one of those cheap [$] trimmers before, and it was so difficult to cut even just 2 layers of cardstock at a time with it. As the blade dulled (within a month) on those cheap ones, it made more ragged cuts and required a lot of hand strength to control. You can put in 10 layers of cardstock in this and just go over it a few times to get through all of the layers. The locking mechanism holds the papers in place so that they don't slip and get misaligned. It's so much more convenient and still quite safe. I'm always afraid of those big guillotine type paper cutters - for kids and even for myself. This is very safe. I also like the magnetic board where I can line up the paper holder for cutting a specific size over and over again. Plus, there is a hidden drawer for little items. It's well worth the money for our business, saving us lots of time and making perfect professional cuts.
