I have been buying this for my 9th grade
I use this in lieu of the TI-83 Graphing Calculator--it's MUCH less expensive, easier to use, and functions are easier for students to access. Don't need the graphing function.

I have an earlier version of this fx-260HC without the solar panel. it is about twice the weight. the main difference appears to be in the plastic case. I am wondering is there will be a lack of durability. My old one has served me well for four years and may outlive the new one. I like the higher contrast on the display, so if I am wrong on the durability, I would give 5 stars

I bought this calculator for my GED students. It was easy to use. I taught them how to use it in one class. Its the only one that is allowed to be used on the GED exam in New York.
Comments about Casio® FX-260 Solar Scientific Calculator:
This calculator is shabbily made and the instructions don't even attempt to tell you how to use the purported scientific functions. You get what you pay for, this was cheap. When multiplying decimals, it reverts to exponential displays. If you want to see how many zeros are after the decimal, you can't. Get a decent scientific calculator like those made by Texas Instruments. This one was cheap, but a waste of money for me. The $3 calculator without scientific or statistical functions works better for me than this one.
