People do not get wrong with your comments, this is the best check writter in the market a very good price. I am using it for two years for 100 different companies creating their payroll checks, work fantastic with Quickbooks version, but no yet with QB 2009. I hope to get the new version for QB 2009.

The box does not indicate which version of Quickbooks it works with - it only works with the same year-version or older, but you have no idea of which version of Checksoft you're buying until you open & install the product so that it can't be returned to Staples. The company offers a 90-day satisfaction guarantee, but will take 2-3 weeks to send a refund.

AND, when you upgrade your Quickbooks, Checksoft no longer works and you have to purchase a new one. So this is not a money or time-saving tool after all. As a CPA, I upgrade QB annually - so would have to purchase a new Checksoft annually as well - it is cheaper to buy checks from the bank!

    Unfortunately this product doesn't work with Quickbooks 2012. When you ask for a refund they make you ship the entire box back and they don't reimburse for the taxes. So you end up spending more money to get your money back. They offer you an upgrade when it becomes available but, will make you pay for it. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE AND REFUND PROCESS.

          This product dosen't work with updated financial software as advertised on their packaging, if you have say Quicken 2011 and the current version of Checksoft it will not work,your Financial program must be an earlier ver. than Checksoft even though they say on the box check for updates there are none you have to buy the program all over again when they upgrade it but they are always 1-2 years behind.( very deceitful and dishonest)

              I tried this product, I wanted a cheaper, safer way to keep business checks. I didn't want to have blank checks laying around. It worked ok on old windows vista with Quikbooks. It was a little complicated to fill the magnetic ink. We got a new computer and the program would not upgrade or work on new Windows 7, and I could not print from Quikbooks. Spent alot of time and money trying to get it to work. Ended up having to purchase pre-printed checks anyways.
