I had two full Durex plastic drawers & getting a third. That's a lot of weight! Paper is HEAVY! I felt it necessary to add wheels to the stacked drawers. I was going to order some casters & have my husband build me a dolly. He actually found this item while I was shopping for other stuff. Since we got the Durex drawers at Staples, he got one & just fit the pieces together on the bottom of a Durex drawer right there in the store! It looked like it was going to work! I was surprised! We brought it home & he assembled it & it WORKS! Where I have the drawers, it's not important that they lock; it's much more important that they roll, when I need the drawers to move.

I bought 2 of these with 2 filing cabinets, but after easily assembling one I thought I'd try it out. The metal sides strained to hold the lighter, smaller cabinet before it was even filled with files and broke within 24 hours.

After seeing how little this mover can hold when stationary, I have no idea how it could withstand the job I purchased it to do, namely, mobilize a small filing cabinet! Very disappointing.

I had to put a few rubber washers under the cabinet to keep it level in the mover. Also, the wheels move very freely, so if you use it on a hard floor, the whole cabinet will come towards you when you try to pull out a drawer.

I have been looking for this size for sometime now and could only find the standard letter size. I needed to get my office desk up off the floor, I use 5 Hon file cabinets for my 2 desks. It was so easy to put together and set the cabinets on them. Now it's easier than ever to move the desk sets anywhere in the office, and works well on hardwood floors.

I purchased 2 of these when ordering a 2-drawer wood filing cabinet. This file cabinet mover was shown on the page of the wooden file cabinet. However, it lacked a little being able to be adjusted to fit the file cabinet. I decided that it must just be for the metal file cabinets. So I decided to try it out on the 4-drawer metal one I have. My husband had someone help him lift the cabinet onto the mover, & it immediately collapsed. It definitely is NOT commercial, in my opinion. So, consequently both of these were returned. I was extremely disappointed because it would have been nice to be able to roll the cabinets away from the wall for cleaning, etc.
