This is the only way i see using my laptop while travelling or working anywhere you need to use your laptop on your lap. This uses a USB wire which connects from the coolsurf lapdesk to your laptop usb port. It has a squishy material which adjusts to your lap to make it very comfortable and easy to use. It cools the laptop which is so important since otherwise you would overheat from the heat and also it keeps the computer's hard drive from overheating. I originally bought this since i liked the name of it - cool surf. it really does its job at a great price. It also has a little storage compartment for the usb wire to fit into when not in use. I can't find anything negative about this product! recommend it highly.

It does a good job holding laptop in place so it doesn't slide around each time you change positions. I like that feature better than my previous laptop cooler. BUT....
I am disappointed by how noisy it is when on. My previous laptop cooler was SO MUCH QUIETER than this unit. I find myself unplugging it as I get very tired of noise. Would not recommend it to someone who get irritated by constant noise. If you don't care about the loud hummmm, then it is a wonderful device.

This is definitely not worth the price. Although it does sit comfortably on my lap the fan is so loud I rarely use it. The fan is small and doesn't really cool where it is most useful. There are cheaper ones without the fan and I would suggest buying those instead of this one.

My Targus laptop cooler died after six months of occasional use. If I can get a couple of years from this one that would be great.

I did not give it 5 stars as it did not keep my laptop as cool as I wanted it to.
