The VideoStudio Pro X2 needs a Pentium 4 @ 3.0 Ghz to run properly. Not for a lower end laptop. On a regular PC duocore you'll have fun with it. The program has nice features to edit home video and a lot of menu extras. For business use, it has enough to get you by.

More Than PSE, not yet playing with PS

More capabilities than Photoshop Elements 7 and runs much faster as well. Most of what is out there as far as tutorials and tips & tricks translate well into PSPPX2U.

The only thing that I can say bad at this point is that not all PS plug-ins work. Brushes are easily converted to PSPPX2U.

Bottom line, if you are looking for something that is very close to PS then look no further. Plus if you are looking into getting PS one day, learning to use PSP will make moving into PS much easier.

As for VSX2, I have not had the chance to work with it. I figured that I could get both for a little more than just PSPPX2U and be able to mess around with video at a later date. Looks to be a good product from what I have read in reviews.
