BOUGHT TO TRY AND STAY WARM THROUGH THE COLD WEATHER. UNIT ONLY WARMS AIR 2 INCHES FROM IT. STAND PICTURED DOES NOT COME WITH UNIT. MENTIONED ADJUSTABLE SWITCH IS ALSO OPTIONAL. I HAVE TO LAY IT ON MY LEGS TO EVEN GET WARM. AND WHEN IT HEATS UP IT EMITS A TERRIBLE ODOR. DO NOT BUY!

I bought this to put under my desk at work. My cube is in a drafty area and the temperature control is unreliable. This works great to warm up my workspace without affecting others' work areas.
Unfortunately, the stand that it is pictured with, is optional and has to be ordered separately. All that is included is sticky velcro pads so you can affix it to the side of your desk. Not a great solution. I have leaned it on the side under my desk and since it doesn't get real hot, I am happy with this compromise.
