I once bought a Fisher replacement refill for a Cross pen and let me tell you it was stiff and hard to write with. I now only use Cross refills in all my Cross pens. They are one of the best writing refills around, better than Waterman ! They are smooth, loose feeling ball, easy to write with, clear, dark ink and vivid. Even the fine point is smooth which is rare! Through my own experience Cross pens write nicer than any other pen. Slightly nicer than a Parker even. {My second fave}.
