I use these speakers in the office on my laptop and they have nice sound. I've been using a set for about 2 1/2 years without any problems. You can keep good sound quality even with the volume turned down. If it's a late night, you can crank up the sound and really enjoy them. Buying these is a no brainer, a great value for the price!

I have a Laptop and I can barely hear those speakers. I received this as a gift. The sound quality is just not there and no adjustments for tone. The volume isn't much and the set-up with the wires and adapter is bulky. If you just want a speaker, for a speaker and don't care about quality these would be o.k. But I've seen smaller ones that work as well, -disappointed.

I wasn't too happy that I had to pay for my own speakers for work, but I was happy to find these speakers for only about [$]. I've only been using them for a week, but they do the trick and the sound is great. I have to keep the sound low, and these go lower than my previous ones, with no static. I think they were a great buy.

I purchased some USB powered speakers for twice the price. For some reason they wouldn't work with my machine so I got these as a replacement. Even with the tiny A/C adapter, these speakers take up just about the same amount of space in my luggage as did the USB speakers. Plus, with these speakers I can use them with other equipment that accepts the standard headphone jack (the USB powered speakers only connected by the USB cable). The sound quality was fine. Granted, it won't fill Carnegie hall, but I use them to amplify my laptop for training video playback to a room of 50 people with no problem and no sound distortion.
