Exceeds Expectations!

Actual testing revealed that this UPS would run a 2.8GHz dual core Athlon X2 system with RAID 1 array, 19" LCD monitor, and Verizon FiOS Actiontec router for 40 minutes. That equals the runtime performance of another 1500VA UPS I have at the office that cost nearly 3X the price of this unit. This is a great little UPS for home or small office use, but IT professionals will find the management software somewhat lacking. Most home and small office users wouldn't require remote administration anyway. My only complaint would be that this UPS shuts itself off two minutes after its own Power Panel management software shuts down the PC it is running on. Don't expect to power anything else after the management PC shuts down, regardless of the battery capacity.

This is a well made dual-battery model UPS able to support more than the usual number of home or small office computer components.

I have a high-performance desktop computer; a server; an LCD monitor; and a router connected to this UPS and its readout only indicates 50% use. It appears from my testing that all this equipment would continue to run for 15 – 20 minutes during a loss of AC utility power.

Good batery backup, has a couple of surge outlets only that are nice to have. The display on the front is nice to see what kind of runtime that you have left with anything that is hooked up to it. Would definately buy one again when the need arises.
