Actual testing revealed that this UPS would run a 2.8GHz dual core Athlon X2 system with RAID 1 array, 19" LCD monitor, and Verizon FiOS Actiontec router for 40 minutes. That equals the runtime performance of another 1500VA UPS I have at the office that cost nearly 3X the price of this unit. This is a great little UPS for home or small office use, but IT professionals will find the management software somewhat lacking. Most home and small office users wouldn't require remote administration anyway. My only complaint would be that this UPS shuts itself off two minutes after its own Power Panel management software shuts down the PC it is running on. Don't expect to power anything else after the management PC shuts down, regardless of the battery capacity.

Comments about CyberPower Intelligent LCD 1350VA 8-Outlet UPS:
This is a great unit, however you will find that the PFC compatible model (although not yet offered at Staples) is comparably priced and a must for any Active PFC equipment (i.e. Many mid to high end computers, etc.)
Comments about CyberPower Intelligent LCD 1350VA 8-Outlet UPS:
So far the CyberPower UPS has worked well and is simple to setup.I started with a Belkin 900VA quite a few years ago but couldn't get batterys for it anymore and it had a 10 minute shutdown time and some resource hogging software. Then I went with APC and had a power surge within 9 days of buying it and it FRIED it. [...] replacing it with the CyberPower I wanted (no more APC products for me!!).The CyberPower hasn't really faced any challenges yet but the software shows a 34 minute shutdown with the computer and equipment I have attached.I really wanted a 10 outlet but CyberPower didn't make one in my range.Time will tell how it handles stress.

I have dealt with cyberpower in the past on a UPS that got a little on the warm side and "browned" the white encasement. It was just past warranty and they still replaced the unit and were very pleasant to deal with.
