Comments about Defender SN301-8CH-008, 8 CH H.264 DVR Security System w/ Coaching iMenu, 8 Night Vision Cameras:

This is our second system this system is missing a lot of features that our much older system included. The camera have to be installed at an angle because the mount is not long enough, and the mount do not tighten down to secure the camera into place we had to use the mounts from our old system.

These cameras are colour, any tv or monitor will do though I would suggest a high resolution one to get the most out of the security system.

    • Q:

Product description states: "View Online with No Extra Fees".

Does this mean I can go on-line and access the unit/cameras with a predetermined/predesignated FTP address?

What is the "Real Time Recording Speed"?

How many "TV lines of Resolution" are the cameras?
Asked on 2/22/2011 by reinhardgehlen from Orlando, Florida

      2 answers

      • A:

Someone named Ally responded to my question, but failed to answer the part of my question on TV lines of resolution. I managed to locate one of these systems and the spec sheet indicated the cameras were all "420 TV lines of resolution". 420 is ok for a lense, but 480 or 520 is better.
