  You can in fact view the feed from any Smartphone. From and Android to an Iphone and anywhere in between. I could not find anywhere that it was stated it required the use of an app to run it. It seems like you would just use your internet connection to connect and view.

  No additional items are required for the installation of the Defender SN502-4CH-001 security system, however, you will need a TV or computer monitor in order to view footage from the cameras.
