Answer this question 4 answers A: No, you do not have to replace the color one too. Answered on 9/29/2009 by patpro from Dixon, IL A: only if your color ink needs to replaced because it is empty Answered on 9/29/2009 by jim from storrs ct. A: I have a Dell computer and do not have to replace both ink cartridges when just one needs replacing. However, I do not know about other brands of printers requirements. Answered on 9/29/2009 by Elle from Phoenix, AZ A: No you don't. You can "trick" the machine when you put the black one in. When it comes up to "align" click "new" for the color as well. It will refill your color side and allow the black to work. You also may want to go into your "printing preferences" and set up-"print black and white"- this way you don't run your color out. Good way to save a few $. Answered on 10/6/2009 by Mar from Rochester,NY
