You must place this ink in the black slot. Many users think you place it in the color slot. In fact when you print it uses all 6 colors 3 from the photo ink and 3 from the color ink to print photos.

That is why you do not want to use this for everyday printing. Only use when doing photos as it takes all six colors to produce black.
