Good upgrade for older PC's

Tried a Geforce FX 5500, but Nvidia doesn't support my monitor's native resolution of 1680 x 1050 from the DVI output. Diamond Stealth S120 installed with no problem and immediately assigned the correct resolution....Read complete review

Tried a Geforce FX 5500, but Nvidia doesn't support my monitor's native resolution of 1680 x 1050 from the DVI output. Diamond Stealth S120 installed with no problem and immediately assigned the correct resolution. It's worked flawlessly so far. Installed the latest ATI drivers rather than the one's from Diamond.

This board proved nothing but trouble. It was intended to be a replacement for a Gigabyte ATI 9550. After installation, several problems occurred: 1) VPU Recover message, 2) Blank Screen requiring reboot...Read complete review

This board proved nothing but trouble. It was intended to be a replacement for a Gigabyte ATI 9550. After installation, several problems occurred: 1) VPU Recover message, 2) Blank Screen requiring reboot and 3) Out of Range message appeared on my screen (Reboot required). Went to ATI's website and printed out the troubleshooting guide. The guide suggested a number of actions which I performed. The steps apparently cured the symptoms, but did not fix the problem. Was fed up when I downloaded and installed Google Earth and my system went nuts. Replaced it with a PNY 6200 AGP and everything is working fine. My advice is spend the extra $20 and avoid the grief.

Aero windowing in Vista not available on Dell Dimension 4400 until upgraging to this card. Tried another brand which had same result as oem card. This card worked and works Great!

        This card was easy to install. The flicker was high, even at 85hz refresh rate. The card was returned to the store and exchanged for a new card of the same model and brand with the same results. The second was also returned to the store for a card with an nVidia chipset. No problems from the nVidia card.
