Easy to install.
Updated drivers available on Diamond Multimedia website.
Instruction manual not very detailed.
No instructions given for graphic equalizer or configuration panel operation.
Included .pdf documentation incorrect for this card and circuitry.
Very good, clean, detailed sound.
Overall, an affordable and clear improvement over onboard audio.

Great sound card but software is tricky.

Installing the hardware of this sound card was a normal breeze. Getting everything setup was a little tricky. My fathers original sound card was built into his motherboard. After getting hit by lightening, this original sound was the only fault of the lightening. After installing this, we didnt get any sound out of it yet. After disabling his original sound card then we got sound using this sound card. Ive installed plenty of sound cards and network cards, but make sure you disable the original sound card before setting this up. Other than that, this soundcard is worth the money. My father has had great sound since we put it in. Great quality and it is reliable. I would recommend this to others, yes.

I purchased this sound card to replace an inoperative integrated sound card on a family member's PC. Installation into the PCI slot was a snap.

The system had difficulty running the driver installation program, but Windows was able to locate the driver on the included CD via its driver installation wizard. Once I went into the system BIOS and disabled the integrated card, the new one was up and running.

Audio professionals may want to buy the 24-bit version of this sound card, but for standard family use, this is a good value.

This product was purchased for a kid's computer that just needed to play some preschool games. The family wasn't looking to buy an expensive sound card. This sound card worked perfectly and the family is happy.
