Sharpens to a wood point, not lead. Lead breakes easily. Purchased many pkgs. for a classroom, and had to throw most of them out--useless!

DEN ETC. THESE PENCILS HAVE TAKEN UP ALL MY TIME JUST HAVING TO CONTINUE TO SHARPEN THEM.'THEY ARE JUST PLAIN LOWZY!!!!!!

The very first time we tried to sharpen a pencil out of the box using an Electric Sharpner - it just broke in 2 pieces - the quality seems really poor. Next time we will stick to "Non-Brand" pencils.
