This pencil the a combination of the best of mechanical and the best of traditional, the lead is always sharp but it will not snap off ! Reccomend for everyone

The pencil is flat out amazing! I was hesitant to purchase the product because of the fear that the lead would break easily or just not automatically dispense, but my assumptions were wrong. The pencil emits lead as you write and it is impossible to break the lead. I am using this product in college for all my note taking and test taking since it is an HB #2 pencil. Revolutionary design and hopefully all mechanical pencils engage in this automatic dispense of lead. Thanks Dixon Ticonderoga for making a spectacular product!

  This pencil uses standard .7mm lead refills. Dixon currently does not make specific eraser refills.

  if you remove the eraser cap (from the bottom of the rim of the eraser) that is where you put the lead in. You should be able to put in more than one lead in the barrel.

  it is somewhat tricky- they open at the top the eraser metal ring it is on its own plastic plug. Grasp the whole assembly to access the refill hole.
