My coworkers go through a lot of pencils so it's my job to find a good quality pencil that sharpens well, does not break, lasts a decent amount of time and will make them happy. This one feels great in your hand but did not pass the other tests.

There's no reason to ever use a wood pencil that's not a Dixon Ticonderoga. I'd rather pay the 20 cents for a Dixon than use a free one of any other type. Sharpens easily, lead doesn't break, easy to erase, high quality eraser -- What more do you want in a lead pencil?

These are the best pencils for school. They sharpen like a dream and I've sharpened many, many pencils in my years of teaching. I wish all of my students would bring these to school. The cheap sale pencils just end up in the trash because they can't be sharpened.
