I have used this size pencil for years. I love #3 or #4 lead. Since they don't make #4 anymore, I use #3. I don't have to always sharpen my pencil for a point. I can write quite a bit without having to always sharpen my pencil for a point after every other word! Love it!!!!!

I didn't realize I puchased #3 pencils

I bought these for school use, but did not realize at the time that they were #3, not #2. I guess I just assumed incorrectly.

I use a pencil to write appointments in my appointment book and had tried mechanical pencils. I thought they would be more convenient but they didn't work out well for me. The writing was very light and I found them difficult to erase without excessive smudging. I went back to the tried and true Ticonderoga no. 2 pencils and am much happier with the results.
