While this might appear to be easy to use at first glance, I will have to admit that it is not. But, with a little instruction, (which I am going to provide), you will see how easily it can be done (for some I hope).

First: Measure and cut the sheet for your project using either scissors, or preferably an X-acto knife and straight edge, leaving a 1/2 to 1 inch margin on all sides.

Second: While touching the adhesive as little as possible, peel, fold back, and crease the backing against itself approximately 1 inch.

Third: Position your laminate sheet over your project leaving an equal border on all sides.

Fourth: Now, using a drywall seam roller or brayer start rolling the small exposed area of adhesive onto your project, expelling any air bubbles. Now grasp the backing in the middle and slowly pull (keeping your hand close to your project) while rolling with your roller at the same time, forcing out any air pockets.

Fifth: Continue until your project is covered. You may now trim the laminate flush with the edges of your project, or cut the corners at a 45 degree angle, fold the sides over, and roll them to adhere on the back side.

One more thing; if there are any remaining air pockets that you overlooked, you may puncture them with a needle or pin, and roll them to expel the air. I hope this assures your success with your future projects.

The laminate was used to "water proof" printed signs on foam board for an outdoor event. After 2 hours of strong thunder storms and heavy rain the signs were in great shape.

After cutting the laminate to size it was hard to get the backing started to expose the adhesive. Since the backing was one solid piece using the product to cover a large sign requires two people. The product would be easier to use if the backing had a seam down the middle.

Comments about Duck® Clear Laminate, 18" x 8 Yards:

The best transparent lamination in the market . I used it in my shower and despite all the water vapor and high temperature it is still there. So many innovative uses can be found for this product especially for protecting your books . It is simply amazing.
