fast charger for special batteries

This charger should only be used on batteries made for fast charging and only after they are slow charged on another charger first. I have other batteries that are equivalent in capacity that this charger rejects. This is good as I'd rather have it reject cells than to damage them. I use it as a field charger in the car, when I need a quick charge. Runs off my auto accessory outlet with a special cable as the input is 12-15V. The internal fan blows across the batteries and keeps the heat down which would ruin batteries if left to overheat. Shuts down when the batteries are charged. Good design, usefull product.

Fast, noisy, can't stay plugged in

This is about the faster charger I've seen, and it's good when you need to recharge batteries fast. However, it wasn't clear from the packaging that you can't just leave this plugged in -- you need to take the batteries out when they're charged. And really, you wouldn't want to leave it plugged in because the fan on the charger is surprisingly loud.

So, if what you want is a fast charge then this is a useful product. If you want a charger where you can leave it plugged in and always have a topped-off set of batteries ready to use, look at other units.

I purchased this based on the 15 minute charge time to use with my Nikon SB600/800 speed lights. And I must say it was a worthy purchase. So much I purchased 2 more charges with batteries to cover all my speed lights.

Batterys are not fully charged when cycle is complete. Batteries(and I thought Duracell was the best!) do not hold a charge long enough to safely use in either my camera or wireless keyboard. They even lose their charge when setting in a drawer and not in use! I am sorry I didnt try it earlier [...]

We use this to charge batteries for the kid's electronics including Wii controllers. 15 minutes and your batteries are ready to go again! The only drawback that I have is that it takes up more desk space than I'd like because I leave it setup ready for the next battery crisis.

Very good charger, though this charger does not charge other batteries than Duracell batteries that is the only thing that is not good. so only buy Duracell rechargerable batteries. long lasting batteries after charging batteries. I have bought this charger for 2 friends.

I like the fact that this product tells me when it has finished charging by its indicator light. Also, it is fast charging for those times when time is important. I use it primarily to supply my camera with battery power since my camera eats batteries. Saves me money and is convenient.
