    It makes no sense to pay for disposable batteries when you can recharge them in 15 minutes and reuse them over and over, and there are way fewer of them in the landfill when finally disposed of. An eco-conscious no-brainer, especially for high-use devices.

    Still requires fast charger

    I have Eveready, Rayovac, and Duracell Rechargeables. I purchased these particular ones based on experience of any higher mAH units not holding a charge for long and having a short shelf life. The Eveready and Rayovac batteries that are 1000mAH discharge within a week, don't last long in devices, are miserable for remote controls. The Rayovac 780mAH hold their charge for two to three weeks, are usefull for Remote Controls and Cordless mice, but are not fast chargers and have been discontinued. I had hoped these Duracell 820mAH units would perform similarly. Instead, I found they don't charge on slow chargers, yet don't retain their power any better than their 1080mAH counterparts.

      I found that the Duracell batteries charge quicker and last longer than the Energizer rechargeables. Duracell has won me over, I will never go back to Energizer after using the Duracell.

        After the original batteries of my 3 year old Panasonic home phone system finally gave up the ghost, I replaced them with Phillips batteries from a discount store. This brand exhausted themselves after 2 hours of use and then required recharging. During the course of a busy day, this time limit was not efficient. I then bought Duracell replacements at Staples, hoping for better usage. Surprisingly, they were worse! The handsets went down to 1 bar after only an hour and a half of continual use.
        How is it possible that original equipment cells perform so well for so long and both of these supposedly comparable units died after 90 minutes?
