I have been a loyal Staples customer for many years. I have made many purchases of all different products over that time. I am not a one time disgruntled customer. I thought I would give Staples in-store diagnostic computer technicians a try. The service was $75 with tax. Turnaround was three days in writing. No one called. On fourth day I called. Was told that my laptop computer would need to be sent to another diagnostic repair location and I would need to pay [$] for repair. (The $70 I paid would be credited to the [$].) DUH! Why the heck do you think I brought my laptop to you! Additionally, when I picked up my computer I asked for a written confirmation of what the technician found wrong. The problem was not pinpointed. They did not know specifically what was wrong. Again, I was advised that my laptop would need to go to another location to pinpoint the problem. Evidentally, the staples in-store technicians were not capable of fixing the computer. Had I known in advance, I would have taken the laptop to someone who could make the repair. A waste of precious time and money!
