Even though the diagnostic revealed no problems with the hard drive, my son's computer pretty much died after we brought it home. The diagnostic did reveal some viruses which we chose not to pay to have cleaned. Also, they couldn't start on the computer right away because they hadn't gotten his password. In the end my son had to buy a new computer, so I regret having spent the money on the diagnostic. But, what really annoyed me is that my son had brought the computer in with a case and I picked it up, not realizing about the case and just took the computer home. A week later as he was about to take a flight out of the country, he realized he didn't have the case. We ran over to Staples which still had the case. There it was with a big luggage tag with all his contact information and no one contacted us. That was inexcusable to me.

Staples tech people do not seem to be professional techs and are required to both do customer tech work and serve customers on the floor at the same time. In my case, the store manager told the tech employee to stop spending time diagnosing my computer when the problem was not found quickly. The only positive thing I have to say is that I demanded my money back and received it. I then took my computer to a real tech shop and they found the problem.
