Workforce Pro WP-4540

This Workforce Pro WP-4540 is state of the art equipment. It is very economical, fast and versatile. I was original looking for a Laser jet but found this to be the perfect alternative. This machine is fast, easy setup and can handle any job! It does have a large footprint so keep that in mind if replacing a ink jet printer but if your replacing a large Laser jet, this is a perfect choice. I chose the 4540 instead of the 4530 because I wanted the extra paper feed, 580 instead of 330. If the additional paper feed is not an issue, you can save some money with the 4530.

The quality of print on plain copy paper is not good. The red looks more like orange and the colors look washed out. On business gloss the colors are better but many graphics are smeared. Duplexing causes a real mess. No amount of adjusting the color match, density or drying time fixes the problems. It does print very well on Kromecoat C1 stock. If you don't mind the washed out colors, it is very cost effective and easy to use. The fax and scan features work well.

I'm loving this printer. It was easy to set up and use. If it only had an email address where you can send documents to it would have gotten 5 stars from me.

I've been looking for a new printer for awhile. I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm still using the ink that was supplied in the box.

The ink does last a long time and it's very easy to install the ink cartridge.

Also Yellow Ink Leaking just after warranty year

The printer is great until it has the same leaking yellow ink issue that others are having. I also can't find guidance on how to fix this. I will need to toss this out after owning it just 14 months. It is just a personal use printer so there is no excuse for it to die after such a short life. This is clearly a common problem.
