Good printer

I've always used Epson printers and ink. I have never experienced any problems with setup or use. The included softwares are always easy-to-use. This is the second XP-400 that I bought. The first one was purchased for my wife's home office, since she needed a small all-in-one printer to fit inside a hide-away desk. I liked the printer so much that I bought this second one while it was still on sale to update my previous Epson CX7400 because I downsized my computer desk to a smaller computer cart and wanted to save a little space. I also like that items can be scanned as .pdf files.

Used this during an event to print photographs on the spot. Lost LOT's of money because the print speed was way too slow!!!!! I would recommend for at home leisure usage.

This printer has everything I wanted. I didn't want a fax, which my last printer had, since I never use it. The color on all the print jobs I have done is a perfect match to the color on the computer screen. So far no complaints!

This printer was super easy to set up on our wireless network. All of the laptops in the house found it easily and downloaded the drivers without a problem. It does seem to use ink quickly but other than that no complaints!

I bought this for my college bound daughter and this Epson printer is great not just in it's compact size but the price was great as well. This prints nicely and fits great in her dorm.

How much space is required on your home computer to install the software for this printer?

  The amount of space depends on what you choose to install. If you install just the basic printer driver it requires about 50MB, if you install all the imaging software as well it's about 1GB.

  Yes you can print wirelessly with you laptop and Ipad/Iphone with Wifi. An AirPrint router will be needed to print with Ipad/Iphone but it is compatible.
