Comments about Epson® LQ-590 Dot Matrix Printer:

The printer has a front feeder that makes it easy to feed small items, along with bottom and rear feeds for forms, etc.

This printer even has a USB connection, so you're not stuck needing an old parallel port.

The only quibble I have: my old 1989 Panasonic KX-P1124i printer had a button that would load the paper & the printer would stay offline until you turned it back online...when feeding sheets, that let me ensure the paper was properly loaded before the printer started printing. This Epson replaced it when the old one died...unfortunately, the Epson has an automatic feed and begins printing as soon as it thinks the paper is loaded. If I get a misfeed, it starts printing when I am not ready. I can live with it..but wish there was a better way (and, there may be...I just haven't found it yet).
