This ink is ideal for everyday use (e.g. letters, resumes) and the occasional graphic project that uses much color ink. However, as with any usage, the more you use, the quicker the ink needs replacing. I am a frequent user but not so much with color. However, the cartridges can last a while depending on usage. I recently replaced the old ones after having usage for about 5 months before replacing.Not sure if this particular cartridge (color and black & white)is an old series but some stores don't have this serial or, on occasion, been found in the background on the shelf collecting dust.Only drawback to this product is the cost. Not sure if there are equivalent models that could be used at a lower price to the consumer but spending [$] on two inks tends to add up.

Much too expensive, cannot be refilled, not all places accept the cartridge with the bonus (ie: ream of paper, etc)
