Works well, but too expensive

As my printer gets older, the more expensive the ink becomes. I've tried generic inks, like the ones you can refill yourself and they won't work in my printer. It gets gummed up....Read complete review

As my printer gets older, the more expensive the ink becomes. I've tried generic inks, like the ones you can refill yourself and they won't work in my printer. It gets gummed up. So I have no other option but to buy Epson ink. Fortunately I only have to replace my black ink twice a year and the colors about once a year. But I'm still not happy that it costs about $15 more than it did when I first bought the printer and I can't get a value pack with all the colors anymore.

This cartridge provides excellent quality print. I especioally like the fact that it is quite easy to replace. Even when I am typing draft, the print is easy to read and still allows the document to be professionally printed. Although I feel the cost is a little expensive, I guess the saying "you get what you pay for" could be applied. When shopping for printers it is always my idea to purchase one that will allow me to keep using Epson cartridges, that's how much I am pleased. I put the cartridge before the printer!
