I first starting using this product in 2004 when I bought my printer. I have never had a problem with it. (1) I USE IT FOR FAMILY PHOTO'S, DOCUMENTS AND LETTERS. (2) IT WORKS QUITE WELL. IT DOES NOT MESS UP THE PRINTER INSIDE AT ALL. (3) THE CARTRIDGE JUST POPS RIGHT INTO THE HOLDER. (4) I HAVE NO PROBLEMS TO REPORT.

I was printing from my Epson C-84 when the magenta started to run out. I replaced the cartridge (with a genuine Epson cartridge) and suddenly NO magenta would print, even though the status monitor told me it was full.
After numerous head cleanings and test prints, I still could not get the magenta to print but by then all the head cleanings had run the black ink low, as well. I replaced that as well (also with a genuine Epson cartridge) and — you guessed it — neither the magenta NOR the black would print.
Cartridge replacement on these things is, quite literally, a snap. So that wasn't the issue. The problem, I learned, is that these printers are designed with teeny-tiny print heads that clog at the drop of a hat. I'm going to try cleaning them with a 70% alcohol solution, but really, considering what I pay Epson for ink, they should come over, clean my print heads, cook me dinner, wash my dishes and paint my apartment. Since they have nothing in the way of real service, as soon as I use up the cartridges I just bought (most likely on head cleaning), I'm going to get rid of this waste of space and look for a non-Epson replacement.
What Epson charges for ink is criminal, especially when its printers render that ink unusable.
Comments about Epson T044320 Magenta Ink Cartridge:
I had to replace the cartridge less than a week after purchase. I printed a total of 8 pages, ni graphics, no pictures, 24 lines of text in size 12 point. No reason for the ink to be out. The store told me that maybe my printer was old and tried to sell me a new printer. No refund was offered or given, even though they said that should not have happened. Now I am considering buying a different printer - one that does not use this ink.
