This ink is great for all prints including high gloss digital photos, however the cartridges are expensive, especially since there is still ink in the cartridge after my printer indicates it is empty. Shake the cartridge and there is plenty of UNUSABLE ink left. I'm not sure if this still is an issue with Epson's newer printers, however 3 years ago this was a common issue with Espon printers that used this ink (black as well as the other 5 color cartridges).

I love that the printer has 6 cartridges, so you can replace whichever one runs out of ink, and in doing so you are saving money, not throwing away a cartridge that has other color ink in it.
Cartridge life appears to be shorter than with other brands. Really hard to gauge in every day usage, but I'd sure like to see cost per copy estimates from the manufacturer. Maybe it isnt an issue with the amount of ink expended but merely not enough ink for the money
I use my printer mostly for personal use and sometimes for business. The ink is rather expensive and seems to last less time than my former HP printer.
