Make sure package is fresh

We bought the double-size ink and after cleaning the heads a few times, the volume had already decreased by half. Plus, the ink comes out spotty - meaning that there are lines where words should be. I think the package of ink had been sitting there for too long. Not sure if there's an expiration date, but I will check next time.

The ink is fine, it is the cartridge life that is so short. When we brought this printer, I had no ideas I would have to replace the ink so often or that the printer wouldn't work if one of the colors was out of ink.

The Workforce 600 said replace the black cartridge. After doing so, it then said replace the color one. I was not even able to use the black until I did so. Why not just say replace them both in the first place!
