I use it for my PR consultancy and for my home staging business. The price seemed right and it had all the features I needed, but I'm very disappointed in the print quality, in both b&w and especially color. My old HP was much better, but I was having problems with the scanner, that's why I switched.
The manufacture seems poor, I always have problems with the paper tray and it jams a lot. It also seems to grab double the amount of paper and so I waste a lot. I wouldn't buy another or recommend it.

    The print quality is good but the cartridges don't last as long a I had hoped. There is a default setting in the printer that cleans the heads before printing. By turning this feature off, the ink lasts longer and document prints quicker.

      I use the ink for pics. My Husband uses it for word processing & copying music.
      The only problem, when my husband is copying in black,it uses up colors! I may have something set wrong. If you know about that, please let me know. I am impressed with the inks & especially the ease to install them. Carol

        Manufacturers play a little game with printers and supplies. Once you're hooked into their printer you have to hock your home for the ink. Still, quality is outstanding. Because I do mostly (amateur) photo printing, I only use Epson ink.

        This is my first Epson printer. I like it alot, however, the ink just doesn't last long enough for the cost. I print EVERYTHING in draft to conserve ink......[$] every 3 months seems to be alot of $ for ink. My previous printer used high capacity cartridges and they last a minium of 6 months....color and black......amount of printing has not changed. I've even had to go to the local copy store to print higher volumes due to the high cost of my ink compared to lower with the copy store. The Artisan 810 is a great printer and good features with the replacement cartridge cost the biggest drawback for me. I would recommend along with the cost comment.
