I got this printer because I am volunteering for a non-profit, so I print letters & envelopes a lot. The 2 trays work perfectly with paper in the bottom tray and envelopes in the top; then I can print letter, envelope, letter, envelope and have not had a misfeed yet. With my old printer it was exhausting having to switch the papers in and out of the one paper try.

I am leaning towards taking back if Epson doesn't step in and help. This printer has 2 trays for 2 different types of paper but so far not the function to utilize the 2 seperately. For a buisness for just 8X10 paper it may be great but for personal use that you want to keep photo paper in one tray and white paper in the other, it is not working out so well-

It needs a dedicated phone line

I was extremely disappointed to learn that you cannot use this machine (or any Epson all-in-one I was told) without a dedicated phone line. So if you wanted to hook it into a second phone line in an office, but still wanted to take incoming calls on "auto" (making it convenient as a phone/fax), you cnnot do this unless you get a distinctive ring pattern to avoid having the machine think a fax is coming in when you are having a conversation. This requires a monthly fee and a new fax #

The printer will not print envelopes that are formatted in Windows, but automatically re formats envelopes, resulting in the inability to print the same.

Our 3540 printer installed easily, works very well both locally & networked, and prints beautifully. The scanner allows you to read in a multi-page document, a big plus vs. competing products where you have to manually scan each page. The only reason I did not give it a "5" rating is you apparently cannot initiate remote scanning from the printer - it must be started from the computer.

Excellent all-in one printer

I have only had this printer for a week, but so far it has been excellent. Good quality and fast, but I still need to run it through its paces. Wireless connectivity is fast and easy - it prints easily from laptops on my network and from an ipad and iphone. I will add, I had to contact Epson Support for some questions I had on installation and they were FANTASTIC! I have never worked with a manufacturers tech support staff as helpful and responsive as Epson's. Way to go!!!
