This shredder clears its own paper jams!

This shredder has an indicator light to warn against exceeding the paper limit, and when the machine does jam it reverses itself and takes care of the jam. I returned Fellowes Shredder PS-70 STRIP CUT to buy this model. The PS-70 appears to have a larger capacity bin but strip cutting quickly fills even a large bin. This model makes confetti cuts which utilize the bin capacity far better than strip cuts. It's quiet, efficient and built to last.

Over the last year I've purchased three shredders. All of which have lasted a very short time. Each one was a "generic" brand and were priced over $100. We purchased this one and immediately noticed that it's a whole lot different. It's very quiet, has great safety features, good capacity, and is noticeably built with quality in mind.

It is very quiet and seems very sturdy. You can see when the bin is getting full and needs to be emptied. I like the feature that shows if you are putting too many papers in at once.
