In such an environment the ethanol is very near it’s flashpoint, and highly dangerous. Also, the scrubbing or whipping the vinyl key guard with a cloth may produce a static discharge which could easily ignite the volatile cleaning mixture. I would caution the end user this practice should not be undertaken unless due caution is taken including proper and deliberate control and safety steps, put in place BY THEM to assure the area is properly grounded.
