Our laptop has fans on the bottom. This riser has its frame covering half of the fan vent. Also, it adjusts a bit abruptly if you have the laptop on it. So you should take the laptop off before adjusting.

Otherwise, it is small and lifts the laptop off of the desk to make space. It still keeps the laptop low to the surface for comfortable use. However, some other users here would like it to be lower.

I wish the product description had mentioned that
this is intended to be used along with a separate keyboard.
When the laptop is placed on it it is very uncomfortable to use.
Now I must purchase an addional item.

I wish that I had known the bottom had the open weave bottom. Hurts my legs when in my lap - now I have to devise a way to attach another bottom to make it comfortable.

It shows that the demension of Depth is 28" ..is that correct? I have not been able to get a stand since I have a 17" laptop and all the stand my laptop is to long for and I have to keep returning. 28" seems very deep but it would work so I wand to be sure thanks

  Actual depth is about 11 inches. There is a rim in the front to keep the laptop from sliding off. The rim is 1 inch in depth. You get 10 inches of frame under your laptop. Width is about 13 inches.

Does this item have multiple adjustable levels? It says it goes from 0 degrees flat to a 30 degree incline... can you stop at varying degrees along the way or is it just 2 settings, flat and inclined at 30 degrees?
