Good quiet quality shredder for the home office. Nice capacity, relatively quiet operation, ease in emptying. The confetti-type shredding is super for disposing of confidential documents. I'm very pleased with this product and recommend it.

Purchased to help a parent shred decades of sensitive documents. Contents of her file cabinets quickly dissolved, to her delight. It was actually fun to use, with more capacity than many small offices.

The best feature is low noise when operating!
Keep a vacuum cleaner nearby. An ongoing annoyance is that everytime the bin is emptied after shredding (bin lined with a shredder bag that came with machine), micro pieces of paper fall on the floor creating a mess! This feature prevents a recommendation of the shredder.
If used for 10-12 minutes, the machine automatically stops shredding due to overheating.
When paper enters the throat, there's accordian crinkling (vertically) in the middle section of the paper.

In today's criminal world everyone is at risk for having their identity stolen. This shredder prevents anyone from piecing together material that can otherwise be compromised. It is a great product at a reasonable price. I've had two other Fellowes shredders in the past and love their line. This one is superb with its micro-shred capability.

Credit cards are inadequately destroyed. They are cut in strips and not crosscut.
