We had purchased the previous model with self-oiling and there was a terminal leak after a few weeks. Fellowes was abysmal and rude in their response [...] replaced the unit with a newer unit which requires the addition of oil occasionally. After several months, this unit is working well in our 24 employee office where we need to shred much confidential material.

Shreds well when you can get it to work but we've had difficulty with it from the moment it came in. On/off switch is unreliable. Seems to be a surface tension switch but no matter the amount of pressure (light or heavy) couldn't get it to switch on. Finally came on but still not sure when it will work and won't. Now the power supply seems to have gone and even when the door is open, no lights come on. Will try to return but won't buy this brand again.
