    I bought this shredder because I burned out my other one. It seems easy to use for home and not a piece of junk. Have only had it a few weeks, but so far, so good. Would recommend it especially for home use -- not sure about business as it might not be sufficient for heavy business usage -- however, not sure without using it longer.

    The box states that its is rated as "Heavy Duty" and can take 14 sheets at once. We found that not to be the case. We found that it can't take more that five sheets at a time. After 15 minutes of use, it heats up and has to be turned off untill it cools. I would classify this unit as "very light duty". It is way over priced for what you get.

        its a pretty quiet shredder compared to the swingline we had before. But this doesnt have much shredding capacity so you have to keep changing the bag offten. Also if you add more than 5 pages in there even though it says it can handle more than that, you start getting the flashing yellow or red light. So we are afraid to run it continuously. But other than that for light shredding its pretty good.

          It's very easy to use, it's quiet and it's jam proof. I'm able to do a lot of shredding in a shorter time than our old shredder. I like how it's able to shred more papers at one time than our old shredder. It's also great that it can handle staples and unopened envelopes with ease. It's storage bin is a good size and holds a lot of paper. It is a nice size not too large for home use- yet big enough to do a decent amount of paper at one time. It's also run through old membership plastic card and unwanted credit card carboard cards with ease. It's a great all around shredder.

          I usually buy my office products at Staples and their selections are the best. I have bought my printer, my peripherals, office paper supplies, ink cartridges and just recently used the EasyTech guy, Kevin (at the Culver City store) who saved my computing life by repairing my computer in a couple of hours. Now I have a new shredder which works exactly how I expected - perfectly. Thank you Staples!

              We purchased a Fellows shredder about 10 years ago and used it until it no longer worked. It overheated when papers were shredded without letting the shredder rest. We then found the shredder had a reset button and that seemed to restart the shredder for a while. However, in the end, the shredder was worn out! Getting a new shredder was put off until the tax season arrived this year and we decided to again buy a Fellows. It is compact, easy to operate, and has more safety features than our previous model. So far we have had no problems with it. As a suggestion, a compartment to store the shredder lubricant sheets would be very useful to the consumer.
