    Comments about Floortex® Polycarbonate Chair Mat for Carpet, Triangular, 48" x 60":

    Had doubts about the quality and durability, but these actually work better than the super heavy duty mats purchased a few years ago. Chairs glide effortlessly and the polycarb seems like it will hold up well. The mats still "creep" a bit, like others we've used over the years, but not as much as previous ones. Be careful when opening! They come rolled up in a box (as expected) with a strap holding them in this position. The polycarb is not very flexible so, when the strap is cut, the mat springs open with quite a lot of force--stand back as far as possible. Aside from that little surprise, these mats are excellent. Gave only 4 stars as we've only used them a few months, not enough time to know how they'll hold up over the long haul.

        Staples offers a pretty good sized selection of chair mats. The only types to avoid are for hi-pile carpet, berber, and wood. The Advantus RecyClear has Gripper Cleats and is a lower priced item, the Floortex Traditional has an edge 'lip' to keep chair on the pad, and is stronger polycarbonate.

        Yes they are the same material and dimension, but different shapes. This item is triangular, and the model you refer to is a square.
