      I was looking for something inexpensive to put stereo equipment in. The ad mentioned they were 15 inches deep which would have held the stereo just right, but the inside depth is only 14 1/2". The stereo sticks out, but is still fine and for the price, this is the best thing around. The fact that the pieces could be arranged any way you want and that separate pieces could be purchased is great. The materials used are a foam core, paper coated (melamine?) Anything heavy, will probably warp the shelf without an upright brace underneath it. Aside from the usual stuff (missing screws) it is a pretty decent unit and easy to assemble.
