If your looking for a low cost item to organize office supplies, and one that takes up little space, then this is it. Beware of assembly. Installing the rails will require a rubber mallet and some wooden blocks. Also, it's difficult to tell when the screws are seated because the material in the panels is soft. Over-tightening will make the screws pull through the panels.

Surprisingly light to lift. The product is sleek looking on the front, just wish the back looked nicer, because I would like to use the cubes to separate a room into two halves. I will have to paint the back with black paint for that to work. The cubes hold a lot of things, work great for storage, and stack nicely with a lot of weight.

While the modular system itself is a great idea and provides plenty of storage options so you get exactly what you want, it's not great quality wood or construction. The directions were also slightly difficult as they did not tell you which side of some of the pieces should go which way. My dad, who has put together many such furniture pieces, kept commenting that the quality of the pieces was very poor. The drawers also do not slide very smoothly. While it's not such a big deal for a starter piece for college, it was certainly not the quality I expected. It's also kind of a shame that a piece that looks like it could easily store office supplies isn't big enough in either direction to store a standard 12 inch ruler. That seems rather silly.
