I own many cubes which I have assembled myself. I purchased this cube to add to my others, which came from [...] My originals are far superior to this cube: smoother,harder veneer (also the veneer covers all sides including the back of the cube-Staples cube has exposed plywood and the back side has to be hidden from view.) I interchange the cubes I have all the time, and they have held up well- this cube is a bust from the start

The drawer componets are difficult to install. The drawers do not move smoothly in or out. with that said, the over all appearance of the cube is attractive and stylish. It fits well with the other two cubes that we purchased. I would however change the drawer componets.

Be sure to read that last line in the description that says 'Ready to assemble' -- in my haste to make this purchase I thought it said 'already assmbled' -- my bad on the mis-read but who wants to spend time assembling a filing cabinet?
