  This product will allow you to you scan to PDF or MS Word. To make changes it would be better to scan to MS Word to make your changes and then save to PDF from within MS Word.   This Fujitsu Scanner does not have a built-in duplex feature. You would need to flip the pages manually and feed the back side of the page in order to scan a two sided document.

  Yes, the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1100 Scanner is compatible with Windows 8, provided the user download the latest software update on the Fujitsu website. In addition, some workaround is needed during the installation process of the software on Windows 8.
