I first started purchasing the P50 back in 2006 and my binding machine worked perfectlyl for more than a year. Recently though I have purchased 2 P-50's and have gotten no more than 2 months work before they broke. Obviously some design change has been made and this is no longer a machine you can count on.

Although it takes patience to use this device properly, the results are wonderful: a bound booklet that opens flat and looks professional. I've had good results with kids over 8 years old, and adults have no trouble if they slow down and take their time. I use it for craft projects plus professional reports. The device itself is compact--great for a home office or crowded classroom. It is no bigger than a 3-hold punch.

We got this for making journals in class (couldn't afford the larger model), but it takes a lot of patience, since it only handles 6 thin sheets of paper at a time. The students get frustrated at times, mainly because they don't have the patience to be absolutely certain everything is line up perfectly, but they appreciate having it to use.
